- How is permanent makeup applied?
Permanent makeup is applied by placing microscopic dots of pigment color into the middle layer of skin either with a special hand tool, or by machine.
- Does it hurt?
Because a topical anesthetic is applied there is virtually no pain, or minimal pain and discomfort. Some clients describe it as a tingling sensation.
- Is it safe?
Because Lucy follows all hygience and sterilizations procedures as outlined by the guidelines of the State of Florida you can be assured that your permanent makeup will be applied in a safe and sterile manner. Pigments are made from natural ingrediants, and allergic reactions are rare. In addition, disposable needles and surgical gloves are used for each procedure.
- How long does permanent makeup last?
How long permanent makeup lasts varies. Depending on skin type, sun exposure, and your age, you can expect that your makeup should last approximately 2-5 years. Over time the color will fade and you might need a touch up to restore the original color.
- How long does a permanent makeup procedure take?
Typically you can expect 1-2 hours for eyebrows, eyeliner, and lipliner. Full lip color takes a little longer and you should expect to be scheduled for 2-3 hours.
